Terms and Conditions

• We are a small, family friendly campsite and do not accept bookings for Hen and Stag parties. Groups of 12 or more must be agreed in advance.

• We do not accept bookings for under 18’s if they are unaccompanied by an adult.

• Noise must be kept to a minimum after 10pm.

• No caravans are permitted but we do welcome VW campervans (or equivalent size). Please note that there are no hard stands or electrical hook ups.

• BBQ’s and fire pits are permitted, as long as they raised off the grass.

• We welcome well behaved dogs, but they must be kept on a lead and cleaned up after.

• Vehicles are allowed in the field to load/unload only, and then must be parked in the car park.

• Please dispose of waste and recycle glass in the bins provided, please do not dispose of unwanted camping equipment in these bins.

• Please wait for taxis in the reception area only.

• There is a strict 5mph speed limit within the farm and camping field.

• Check-in is open from 3pm – 8pm, check-out by 12pm. Early check-in/late check-out must be agreed in advance.

• Chalk Downs Campsite is used by all persons at their own risk. You are only permitted access to the camping field, car park and the farm drive from the public road to the campsite itself. ALL other parts of the farm and fields are strictly prohibited. We are a working farm and parents should ensure children are properly supervised at all times and not allowed to stray from the campsite boundaries.

• Whilst we make every effort to ensure a safe campsite we cannot accept responsibility for your possessions or personal injuries sustained whilst on the property or having campfires.

• Any campers not adhering to the above terms and conditions may be asked to leave the campsite.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your stay we are happy to refund 75% of your payment if given more than 30 days’ notice and 50% of your payment if given at least 14 days’ notice. Unfortunately we cannot offer a refund for cancellations with less than 14 days’ notice.

Privacy Policy

We collect your personal details (name, address, email, phone number) when you place your booking, these details are only used for the purpose or managing your booking. Should you wish for your personal details to be removed from our database after your stay with us, you may instruct us to remove them by emailing chalkydownscampsite@gmail.com. We do not store credit card details, as payment is taken by Stripe, SumUp or bank transfer.
