Lovely site, and Sharen was a great host. Breakfast to your tent, what's not to like. Beautiful spot, handy for Brighton with regular buse service throughout the day and the evening. Also handy for A27 and A23 to get along the coast. Selection of shops and take-aways within 10-15 minutes walk. Thank you for making it such a nice break

Great site. Super clean loos and showers. Beautiful views but just a ten minute walk to local shops and busses down into Brighton. Very friendly owner also very helpful. Just tents and small campervans. Fire pits available and logs. Perfect place to watch England get through to the final on a 7โ telly. Book you wonโt be sorry๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ

Lovely owners, so friendly from the beginning until the end of our trip. Only 1 hour walk to Brighton sea front, with plenty of other nice walks in the area. Will definitely go back again!

โFell in love with this campsite. Worth every penny they charge for a pitch. The sun sets on the West side of the ridge over the town and rises to the right of the ridge of a morning. Sweeping views both ways. Sharen even delivered a vegan breakfast on our first morning! She was great and is always on hand on her mobile. Access to a fridge in reception was great to chill a few beers and celebrate being out in the wilderness. Don't forget to go say hello to the goats!! The shaggy black and white one loves human contact and will run to you at the fence if you drop to their level. Also, you only need to walk under 10 mins through the town of Woodingdean to get a choice of 2 buses into Brighton centre which takes 10 minutes in itself. Or, you can challenge yourself with the 50 minute walk up! We will be back again and can't wait. Danny & Janineโ

โLovely campsite set in the rolling hills. The owner Sharon was super helpful and friendly. My teens got a real kick out of camping near to the goats and feeding them our left over fruit and veg. This was our first time camping with a dog and the laid back vibe and spacing between pitches was perfect for this. Definitely worth a visit.โ

โThe staff let me pitch my tent day before my stay because I was running brighton marathon which was a life saver, toilets and showers were very clean, location was fantastic for views, slide slope but depends on where you pitch. They also offer you every thing you need to make your stay more comfortable like fire pits, wood, ice, breakfast delivered to your tent etc. If I'm ever planning going down to Brighton again then il be giving them a call.โ

โThis was our second visit and we weren't disappointed! Came for a long weekend visiting family in Brighton. The toilet facilities have been upgraded since last year and there are now some Pygmy goats on the site too which are really cute. Site is close to Brighton (about 3 miles walk) or easily accessible with a number of buses from the main road which is about 10-15 minutes walk from the site. The site is sloping and can be windy but the views are lovely and it feels rural despite being close to "civilisation." Host is really friendly and flexible - we brought 2 extra people who weren't booked in advance taking the total on the pitch to 4 and this was no problem at all. This is a rustic feeling site on a working farm and this is it's charm. Might not be everyone's preference but we love it and we'll be back next year!โ

โWe really enjoyed our August bank holiday stay at Chalky Downs. It's very close to Brighton but feels rural and tranquil once you are on the site and pitched next to the baby goats. Lots of campfires and dogs. Good clean facilities. All very low-key and relaxing. It's a simple site with a simple vibe and not too many tents - great for the kids who could run around freely but in a way that we could always have them in sight. Not far from Brighton, Lewes or Seaford for days out.โ
